Big Free Bus Weekend
We’re encouraging you to travel around Kent by bus on the weekend of 24th-25th June, because guess what, it’s FREE! That’s right, call up your mates, shout about it to the family and pop next door to tell your neighbours.
If you’re lucky enough to win tickets from our Kent Big Weekend competition, you know what this means, free tickets and free travel. But fear not those who don’t get hold of a ticket in the ballot this year, as you can still make the most of the free travel and explore the free or great value attractions here in Kent. Sounds like the perfect way to spend your weekend, visiting your favourite Kent attractions, getting from a to b for free and travelling sustainably! You could spend the whole weekend touring the county if you like, we won’t blame you.
So, if this sounds like something you want to make the most of, you’ll be pleased to know that this involves all bus services running in Kent and Medway, and travel will be free from the morning until 8pm of both Saturday and Sunday. Buses which run outside the Kent or Medway boundary, will be free to the boundary, after which the normal fare is payable. ENCTS passholders will not need to show their passes until 8pm or until they travel over the county boundary.
We’re pleased to be partnering with Kent County Council on their Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) initiative, funded by the UK government through Kent’s Enhanced Bus Partnership Schemes.
